This Fabric port brings the Villager News cast and their voices to Java Edition while keeping normal villager gameplay intact.
Voices that fit the moment
Villagers respond to trading, work, weather, nearby mobs and player actions. The source includes 2,212 voice clips across 523 dialogue groups.
Familiar faces
Meet characters including the Mayor, Testificate Man, Villager #5 and Villager #9. Ordinary villagers and wandering traders get the Villager News look too.
Expressions in sync
Facial expressions, gestures and multi-part conversations play alongside the voices. A craftable handbook lets players find the mod’s settings and guides.

Ready for your

The local source build is VillagerNews 1.3.6 for Minecraft 26.3. Website downloads open as soon as the release jars are registered.

Install in a few steps.
- 01
Install Fabric Loader ↗ for your Minecraft version. The current 26.3 build also needs Java 25 or newer.

Add Fabric API, Entity Model Features, Entity Texture Features and Entity Sound Features. Find the required downloads ↗
- 03
Place the VillagerNews .jar in your
modsfolder and launch Minecraft with Fabric.
For multiplayer, install the mod and required dependencies on the server and connecting clients.
